Totally agree with Mr. Rohan Venkat that those 30 Saudi Maids are working in Saudi
This is the original source from a Saudi newspaper "Al-Madena" which is written in Arabic on the 2nd of August, 2009

Dear Rohan,
You are absolutely right. I wrongly assumed based on the source and wording of the article that Qataris were reacting to reports of Saudi women working in Qatar. I appreciate your corrections.
Best,

This story should have just about nothing to do with Qatar, really, and a little fact-checking might've shown that.
The maids did not "arrive in Qatar," they're working in Saudi Arabia.
MENAFN's report was just syndicated from The Peninsula a Qatari English newspaper that tried to put a local spin on the story by quoting a Qatari psychologist (a woman, by the way, which was even pointed out in the MENAFN article that you source this post from), and an anonymous other Qatari woman. Subsequently, this and other outlets claim there's "public outrage" in the country based on quoting two people (one who wasn't exactly outraged, as per the Peninsula's story.)
While it's true, Qataris (and other in the Gulf) are likely to be hypocritical about the relative dignity of menial labour for their own people, as opposed to South/East Asians, inaccurately representing the story at hand doesn't help much.
